Brattleboro is situated between the West and Connecticut Rivers and serves as the primary gateway for southeastern Vermont. Windham County is one of Vermont’s most populated areas with over 45,000 residents. The Town of Brattleboro borders the state of New Hampshire and is centrally located on route to many major Vermont and NH Ski resorts. Visitors to Brattleboro can enjoy all forms of outdoor recreation including easy access to the nearby 350,000-acre Green Mountain National Forest offering a wide choice of hiking, backpacking, fishing, kayaking, cross-country skiing, golf, and tennis making Brattleboro a delightful year round vacation destination.
Its close proximity to the cultural Berkshires of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, as well as New York and the major markets of the Northeast afford the town economic advantages and a cosmopolitan flavor.

Brattleboro Winter Carnival –

Every year, the entire town of Brattleboro comes together for Winter Carnival. There will be music, karaoke, ice fishing derby, a queen’s pageant, pancake breakfast, ice skating show, sleigh rides, $1 movies, petting zoo, country western jamboree, and more! To celebrate the anniversary of the carnival, there will be fireworks and the return of the Snow Ball, a semi-formal dance that was once an annual carnival tradition.
